CLARK COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY OUR CORE VALUES

We Believe……..

We believe human life is sacred, created in the image of God, beginning at the moment of fertilization and ending with natural death. All innocent human life must be protected.

We believe traditional marriage is a legal and moral commitment between a natural man and a natural woman. We recognize the family as the basic foundational unit of a healthy society and consists of those related by blood, marriage or adoption. The family is responsible for its own welfare, moral training education, conduct, and control of its property.

We believe that a well-educated population is fundamental to the continued success of our republic; and, that parents have the right, as well as the duty, to direct their children’s education. This right includes unfettered choices among public, private, home and religious schools. Competition measurably improves education.

We believe that the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution and its Bill of Rights are the fundamental principles upon which our republic is established and that adherence to these documents, as written, is essential if we are to remain a free society. The individual rights of the freedom to worship, freedom of the press, and to keep and bear arms, as well as to own and have complete control over property must never be abridged.
We believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, abilities and obligations must be honored and recognized; equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity must truly apply to all.

We believe free enterprise and individual initiative have brought this nation success, opportunity, economic growth and prosperity; and, that our government must practice both fiscal restraint and responsibility to promote the individuals’ right to keep more of the money they earn and to decrease the burden of taxation by decreasing government intrusion into the marketplace via public-private partnerships and similar devices which inevitably lead to increased regulation.

We believe the most effective, responsible government is government closest to the people and that a government that governs least governs best.
We believe that Americans must retain the principles of faith, national pride, strength and honor that have earned us respect while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world. As a testament to these immutable principles, we believe that our national motto “In God we trust” and the words “one nation under God” in the pledge of allegiance must never be removed.

We believe the Republican Party is presently the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and sustainable principles of government.
